Nike and Jordan Unveil 2017 Black History Month Sneakers

By

On the first day of February, Nike and Jordan have debuted this year's special sneakers celebrating Black History Month. The Air Jordan models in the group will release on Feb. 11, followed by the Nike designs on Feb. 16.

The colorways combine black and white as a graphic reference to "the strength of harmonious movement" and use gold accents to represent power.

The shoes include Nike Basketball signature models like the LeBron 14 and Kyrie 3, sportswear offerings via Air Force 1s, Air Jordan silhouettes, and more.

According to Nike, this collection continues in the tradition of BHM packs benefiting its Ever Higher Fund. In addition, the press release around the shoes mentions the brand's ongoing support of organizations that provide aid to African-American youth like the Jackie Robinson Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Coach Across America.
