Last summer, Adidas covered some of its most popular sneakers with multicolor dots for LGBTQ Pride Month, but for 2018, the brand is taking a slightly more subtle approach highlighted by colorful accents.
Made up of the I-5923 (formerly known as the Iniki), Campus, Deerupt, and Pure Boost DPR, this year's Pride collection sees each model take on a cream white base—or "Cloud White" in the case of the Pure Boost DPR—which is brought to life through rainbow details.
The I-5923 starts with a cream white nylon upper which gets its color from suede overlays at the toe, side panels, and heel counter. This Boost-cushioned style retails for $130.
The "Pride" Campus is the most reserved (and most inexpensive at $90) of the bunch, opting for color at the tongue, heel, and medial side, leaving the most visible sections of the sneaker blank.
For those readers who aren't seeking subtlety, the Deerupt should get the job done. The entire shoe base of the shoe is plastered with a rainbow effect, leaving the model's signature mesh netting to add contrast. This pair is priced at $100.
This year's collection is completed with the Pure Boost DPR, which retails for $150 and takes on a nearly all-white look that's accented with Three Stripes branding that fades from orange to pink.
"We are proud and unapologetic, and we encourage you to be the same," reads the insole of each shoe in the 2018 "Pride" pack.
