This Air Jordan 7 Borrows From an Original Air Jordan 6 Colorway

Jordan Brand’s latest exploration of ‘What If?’ scenarios in its iconic flagship line imagines the introduction of infrared a year later than it occurred.

This summer marks the debut of the “White Infrared” Air Jordan 7, a shoe that very clearly borrows its look from the original Air Jordan 6 colorway that Michael Jordan wore for home games during the 1990-1991 NBA season. It’s pretty much a straightforward interpretation—a white leather upper, black tongue and pull-tab, vibrant pops of infrared, and even a blue-tinted translucent sole.  The “White Infrared” Air Jordan 6, of course, was one of the sneakers Jordan wore en route to winning his first NBA Championship.

The “White Infrared” Air Jordan 7 is expected to release on June 30 for $200.
