Release Roundup: Sneakers You Need to Check Out This Weekend

In search of a new pair of sneakers to add to your fall rotation? Some of the biggest collaborators in footwear are dropping off their latest creations this week, which provides a handful of worthwhile options. 

Patta’s latest Air Max 1 is getting a wider release, Supreme is releasing another obscure Nike collab on Thursday morning, JJJJound has a tonal New Balance on the way, and Ronnie Fieg has just debuted the 8th St. collection of footwear with Clarks Originals. Elsewhere, there are more pairs from Adidas Yeezy, Jordan Brand, Reebok, and more releasing too.

Nike Air Max 90 'Off Noir'

What You Need to Know: A simplistic colorway of the Air Max 90 is releasing on Wednesday morning. The pair sports a black canvas upper, black and grey suede overlays, and white detaling including a tumbled leather Swoosh.

'Ghostbusters' x Reebok

Price: $150-$200
When: Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Reebok is releasing another collection inspired by the cult classic Ghostbusters films just in time for spooky season. The Instapump Fury, Answer 4, and Zig Kinetica have all been dressed up in colorways inspired by different elements from the sci-fi comedy franchise. The brand new Ecto Boot, a modern take on the OG Pumps from the ‘80s complete with a molded heel counter and speed lacing system, will also be available. Official Ghostbusters logos and special movie-themed packaging complete each pair. 

Supreme x Nike Cross Trainer Low

What You Need to Know: After first being rumored to release in spring 2020, Supreme’s Cross Trainer Low collab is finally dropping on Thursday. The streetwear brand’s latest Nike project consists of two colorways. The first is a Gucci-esque black, red, and green color scheme. The second is a brighter, white-based option that adds bright yellow panels to the mix. Each is completed with a Supreme x Nike hang tag and Supreme’s recognizable logo printed across each heel. 

JJJJound x New Balance 990v4

What You Need to Know: JJJJound’s latest New Balance collab is also one of its most subtle. The Montreal-based brand has dressed the 990v4 in a tonal navy blue suede and mesh upper complete with reflective “N” logos and low profile JJJJound branding hits on each heel. The pair also comes packaged with an extra set of elastic laces complete with a branded toggle for anyone looking for a a sportier look. 

Eames x Reebok

Price: $120
When: Friday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: A bit of an unexpected partnership, the first shoes from the collaboration between Reebok and legednary furniture designer Eames arrives on Friday morning. Black and white-based leather versions of the Club C will be up for grabs that have replaced the usual Reebok branding found on each side panel with the Eames logo.

 

End x Reebok Beatnik

What You Need to Know: End Clothing’s latest collaboration is two pairs of the Reebok Beatnik. One takes on a grey suede upper with a white fur liner that is made to allude to the Adominable Snowman. The second is a brown hairy suede option that’s supposed to be a nod to Bigfoot. Each comes with removable, co-branded straps and a jagged-toothed sole. 

Patta x Nike Air Max 1

What You Need to Know: Following an exlcusive launch at Patta last weekend, the Danish brand’s latest Air Max 1 collab is getting a wider release. The pair sports a grey mesh and suede upper with orange accents used on the Swoosh and mudguard. Subtle detals include an embroidered mini Swoosh on the lateral toe and Patta logos on each tongue tag. The most obvious difference between this collab and OG Air Max 1’s is the addition of a wavy-edge mudguard, as opposed to the usual straight-edged look.

Air Jordan 14 'Winterized'

What You Need to Know: The latest Air Jordan 14 has been outfitted to withstand the elements. The “Winterized” 14 features a seamless, water-resistant brown nubuck upper. The boot-like appearance is given a splash of color in the form of red laces and orange branding hits.  

Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 'Wash Orange'

What You Need to Know: A brand new colorway of the Yeezy Boost 700 is set to hit stores this weekend. Dubbed the “Wash Orange” colorway, the pair is strikingly similar to the OG “Waverunner” makeup with its grey upper and teal accents by the toe box. The main differentiator is that this new pair’s midsole has been completely covered in a bright shade of orange. 

Clarks Originals x 8th St. by Ronnie Fieg

What You Need to Know: Clarks Originals has recently debuted its new collection of footwear, 8th St.,designed by creative director Ronnie Fieg. The Lockhill and Sandford are each available in two colorways, multi-toned suede or white leather for the Lockhill and tonal tan or black suede looks for the Sandford. The Lockhill features a runner-inspired suede upper, while the Sandford opts for a more casual tennis shoe execution. Both silhouettes feature the 8th St. branding badge and sit atop Clarks’ signature crepe soles.
